Assam Cabinet Meeting 8 Oct 2024: In the recent Assam Cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, several important decisions were made. These includes thanking the Prime Minister for giving the recognition of a classical Language to Assamese language, Approved delimitation of Gaon Panchayat, Anchalik Panchayat, Zilla Parishad constituencies to all districts except sixth schedule district of the state, Launching a Mission Bashundara 3.0, Improving and strengthening of rural roads and construction of schools.

1. Thanking Prime Minister of India for giving a recognition of a classical language to Assamese language.
2. Approved delimitation of Gaon Panchayat, Anchalik Panchayat, Zilla Parishad constituencies to all districts except sixth schedule district of the state.
