A grand festival, the Bodoland Mohotsav 2024, is set to take place in Delhi on November 15th and 16th, marking the first-ever celebration of Bodo culture, This two-day event aims to highlight the rich cultural heritage, language, and literature of the Bodo community. The theme of the festival, “Ethos of Peace and Harmony: An Integral Part of Nation Building”.
Bodoland Mohotsav 2024 is organized by the All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU), Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS), and All Boro Harimu Afad, and Gandhi Hindustani Sahitya Sabha in support of BTR.

Bodoland Mohotsav
The first-ever Bodoland Mohotsav was held at the SAI Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi, on November 15th and 16th, 2024. This two-day event has showcased the vibrant heritage of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTC), featuring cultural performances, exhibitions, rallies, seminars, and open discussions.
The Bodoland Mohotsav is a proud moment for the Bodo community, celebrating the significant efforts made to preserve their unique cultural identity, including the recognition of the Bodo GI Tag.
The festival also marks the restoration of peace in the Bodoland region following the historic signing of the Third Bodo Peace Accord (BTR Agreement) on January 27, 2020, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
15 Nov Bodoland Mohotsav Brief Details
The Bodoland Mohotsav began on November 15 with the topic of the Rich Bodo Culture, Tradition and literature contributing to Indian Heritage and Traditions with the flag hoisting of ABSU BSS DUBHA, GHSS. Then, it was followed by a floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma. The event showcases a cultural demonstration representing the various communities in Assam. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated “Bodoland Jaikhlong” (The Bodoland Rainbow). The program concluded with a fashion show featuring traditional Bodo attire and performances from several artists during the cultural evening.

16 Nov Bodoland Mohotsav Brief Details
On Day 2 of the Bodoland Mohotsav, the organizers celebrated the foundation day of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha on November 16, known as Bodo Literary Day. The day commenced with a flag-hoisting ceremony for the Bodo Sahitya Sabha, followed by a tribute to the martyrs. Then, it is followed by a grand cultural rally at the SAI Indira Gandhi Stadium till the Delhi Secretariat, showcasing various aspects of Bodo culture and tradition before returning to the venue. In the evening, a cultural program will feature renowned national artists, including the famous Bollywood and Assamese singer Papon.
