BTR Budget 2024-25: The two-day budget session of the Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly (BTCLA), chaired by Speaker Katiram Boro at the BTCLA House, Bodofa Nwgwr, Kokrajhar, focused on the ‘Vibrant BTR Mission 2024-25’.

During this session, CEM Pramod Boro presented a budget of Rs 2200 crores for the financial year 2024-25 for the Bodoland Territorial Council. The BTC Legislative Assembly Budget session was held on 18 and 19 June.

BTR Budget 2024-25: Sectoral Achievements

During the BTR Budget Session, officials discussed several achievements, including awarding GI Tags to 13 cultural articles representing the Bodo identity, empowering 695 places of worship with Rs. 2 lakh each under ‘Alari Swrang Bithanki’, digitizing land records for online settlement of land-related issues under Mission Bwiswmuthi, and more.

BTR Budget 2024-25: BTR Peace Accord Progress

During the BTR budget session, officials talked about the successes and ongoing promises from the BTR Peace Accord of 2020. These include providing rehabilitation packages worth Rs. 4 lakh to 4,203 ex-cadres, offering ex-gratia payments of Rs. 5 lakh to 632 families of martyrs, inclusion of 41 villages from Sonitpur district into BTR, and more.
