Total District of BTR 2024: The Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) is an autonomous region in Assam, India. Located on the north bank of the Brahmaputra River, it lies below the foothills of Bhutan. Kokrajhar serves as the first district and the administrative headquarters of BTR.
Bodoland was an autonomous administrative unit under the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution of India 1993. The 2003 peace agreement led to the creation of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC). In 2020, a new peace agreement formed the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
