UPSC NDA & NA 1 Exam 2025: The Union Public Service Commission has released the notification for NDA & NA Examination (I) 2025 on its official website. Candidates can apply online on the UPSC website from 11 to 31 December 2024. A total of 406 vacancies are notified by the commission.
NDA exam is conducted twice a year by the UPSC for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force Wings of the National Defence Academy (NDA). NDA 1 2025 Exam will be conducted on 13 April 2025.

UPSC NDA 1 2025 Notification
UPSC NDA NA 2025 Notification: The NDA 1 2025 Notification has been released on 11 December 2024 with 406 vacancies for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 155th Course, and for the 117th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 1 January 2026.
Interested aspirants can apply online for NDA 2025 exam from 11 December 2024 to 31 December 2024. As per the official UPSC 2025 Calendar, the NDA 1 2025 exam will be conducted on 13 April 2025. Any 12th pass unmarried male and female candidates who are 16.5 years old can apply for the NDA 2025 Exam.
About NDA Exam – National Defence Academy Exam
NDA exam is conducted to select eligible candidates for the Indian Armed Forces, where selected candidates of all three services – Army, Navy, and Air Force undergo training before pre-commissioning training in the respective academies. UPSC conducts NDA Exam twice a year to select unmarried male and female candidates for various defence services. Candidates are recruited based on the written exam and SSB interview.

UPSC NDA Exam Eligibility
NDA 1 2025 Eligibility: Before applying for the NDA 1 Exam 2025, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria set by the UPSC. The eligibility criteria for NDA 2025 exam are as follows:-
NDA Education Qualification
Candidates who have passed, or are appearing in 12th exam can apply for the NDA 2025 exam. However, candidates applying for the Air Force, Navy, and Naval Academy of the National Defence Academy should have studied Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry in Class 12th.
The educational qualification for the NDA Exam varies depending on the wing candidates are applying for:-
- For the Army Wing: 12th or an equivalent examination passed.
- For the Air Force and Naval Wings: 12th or an equivalent examination passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects in class 12th.
NDA Age Limit
The age limit for the NDA exam is between 16.5 to 19.5 years. Unmarried male and female candidates born between 02 July 2006 and 01 July 2009 are eligible for the exam.
NDA 1 Exam Date 2025 Out
NDA Exam Date 2025 has already been released by the UPSC for the NDA 1 and NDA 2 exams along with the UPSC Calendar 2025.
