2024 Yuva Puraskar Award
Similar to the Bal Sahitya Puraskar, 23 authors received the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2024 following a meeting of the Executive Board of the Sahitya Akademi, chaired by President Sr. Madhav Kaushik on 15 June 2024. The award in Sanskrit will be declared at a later date.
The selection was made based on recommendations from language-specific juries. The winners were determined through either unanimous or majority decisions by the juries.
Who won 2024 Yuva Puraskar in Bodo language?
Rani Baro from Udalguri district has received the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2024 for her short story collection “Saikhlum,” published in 2022.
Currently, she works as a translator at the Assam Legislative Assembly in Dispur, after completing her Master’s in English from Bodoland University in 2020. Rani’s mother sells vegetables and her father works as a DTP operator in Bher-gaon.
